Social Enterprise Research Support Intern

Role Title: Social Enterprise Research Support Intern

Organisation: WA Social Enterprise Council

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Fremantle

Role Description

The WA Social Enterprise Council is the one-stop-shop for all of WA's social enterprises and impactful businesses who are seeking information, connections and assistance.
We are seeking a Research Support Intern to do a deep dive into the information that is available from across Australia for us to develop resources for our members. Primarily interacting with the WASEC team: Olivia (CEO) and Rosie (Membership Coordinator), we will assign a question or area of inquiry for you to gather information and present the research to us. This may be researching funding opportunities, regional businesses, or government policy to help us to better understand our sector. The information will be used to inform our online resources and conversations with members, and will contribute to helping some amazing impactful organisations. If you're interested in growing your experience in social impact, how government works, policy, philanthropy, conducting research, better understanding the players in WA, pulling information together, and working in a small team - this will suit you :) We will require good skills in research, referencing, and summarising information.
