Social Impact Data Analyst Intern

Role Title: Social Impact Data Analyst Intern

Organisation: Outcare

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Jandakot

Role Description

Outcare is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1964 to support justice-involved young people and adults. Over the years, Outcare has expanded its services to support a range of disadvantaged communities. These include providing out-of-home care for young people under the care of the Department of Communities and Family Services, delivering mental health court diversion programs, and offering tenancy support services.
We demonstrate our social impact using program-level measurement frameworks to show the change in six to nine outcomes per program. Some outcomes can be aggregated across multiple programs. While we know our programs work and understand how they make a difference, we would like to measure the statistical significance of each outcome to be clear about how much we can claim. This level of analysis requires statistical skills that we currently lack internally. We are seeking a postgraduate statistician to assist us in undertaking this important work.
