Role Description

Our Health Services team undertake routine inspections, issue approvals and undertake enforcement, complaint follow up etc. To support this work we have local laws relating to sanitation, dwelling house maintenance, nuisances, pest control etc.
Our Health Local Laws require updating. This role would include; *Compiling feedback from our team of Environmental Health Officers regarding areas for improvement in our current local laws, *Researching local laws recently gazetted by other local governments, *Providing recommendations on which of these Local Laws best fit the objectives of the City. *Any other recommendations relating to proposed new local laws. The intern would have the opportunity to interact with our team members and seek feedback from them to see the real world implications of the laws we enforce.
