Role Title: Update of Legal Knowledge Notes

Street Law Centre is a specialist community legal centre that provides free legal advice and ongoing legal assistance to people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness in Western Australia. We are seeking an intern in their penultimate or final year of their law degree to review and update our knowledge notes. At Street Law we have numerous knowledge notes on the areas of law we work in; the documents provide an overview of the relevant law, processes and steps to follow. The knowledge notes are used by staff and volunteers when completing case work for clients. We need all of our knowledge notes to be reviewed, updated and disclaimers added to each document. The knowledge notes cover topics such as criminal injuries compensation, criminal law, debt, housing matters, discrimination, drivers licence issues, identity documents, police complaints, police interactions and superannuation.
We are inspired by the vision of a compassionate community, where everyone has a safe place to call home. We champion for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, through our legal work for social justice.
