Role Description

The Grief Centre of WA is a registered charity that provides postvention support to people who have experienced bereavement or other significant loss. They also provide community engagement, education and compacity building to enable the community to respond compassionately to death and loss and the associated grief.
The Centre is the key resource and support Centre for grief and loss in Western Australia, delivering one-to-one and group counselling, peer support groups, educational workshops and community engagement events. The Centre has an opportunity to put a business case to government but needs to be accredited to be eligible for a service agreement. This is an urgent priority for the organisation. This role will be assisting the Business & Engagement Lead to prepare for accreditation by reviewing and assessing data collection processes, creating timelines for data collection, reviewing and writing frameworks, operational guides, policies and procedures, assessing evidence against accreditation checklists and liaising with relevant stakeholders. This role will work independently, under supervision and as part of the Business and Engagement Team. Training will be provided in Suicide Prevention Awareness and any other relevant areas during engagement as an intern.
