Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Grants and Fundraising Intern. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the community while gaining valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing.
As part of our Business & Engagement Team, you will work closely with our staff to identify funding opportunities, prepare grant applications, and support various fundraising initiatives that align with the mission of The Grief Centre of WA. Grant Research & Writing: • Research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations. • Draft, edit, and submit grant applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funder requirements. • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submission timelines. Fundraising Support: • Assist in developing fundraising strategies and campaigns. • Collaborate on the creation of promotional materials for fundraising events and initiatives. • Support donor outreach and stewardship efforts, including drafting thank-you letters and updates. Administrative Tasks: • Maintain accurate records of grants, donations, and fundraising activities. • Assist in tracking and reporting the success of grant applications and fundraising efforts.
