Public Sector Volunteering is a key focus of the WA Volunteering Strategy and is a priority action of the Volunteering Strategy Action Plan 2023-2026 that seeks to increase WA public sector agency capability for volunteering.
The Research Intern will focus on producing a report on Public Sector Volunteering in WA, specifically how Australian and international jurisdictions promote public sector volunteering. The Report will provide an evidence base to inform the Action Plan and recommend opportunities to support methods of volunteering across the public sector.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
