Role Description

The Kids Research Institute Australia are currently seeking students with an interest in mental health, infant health, family functioning, and/or men's health and wellbeing to join our team working toward improving outcomes for Australian families.
The intern will be joining the Human Development and Community Wellbeing Team on the NICU Dads project. The project is led by Dr Vincent Mancini and supported by Ms Ezra Kneebone who will work closely with the student. The project aims to design an intervention program to support fathers, male caregivers, and non-birthing parents who are experiencing a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admission due to complications associated with the birth of their baby. For this phase of the project, we intend to undertake community engagement with fathers, other family members, healthcare professionals and community organisations. The aim is to seek community input into the design of the intervention program. The student will aid in the research process, including participating recruitment, data collection and data analysis.
