Role Title: Research Intern: Investigation of Clinical Trial Management Systems
Organisation: Alzheimer's Research Australia
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Nedlands
We are offering an opportunity for a McCusker intern to join our team and investigate Clinical Trial Management Systems for use in our pharmaceutical clinical trial division at Alzheimer’s Research Australia. The intern will be responsible for researching, contacting, and meeting with external companies and learning about their Clinical Trial Management Systems. This will include learning about what they offer a clinical trial site, how the system can be implemented and their subscription cost. The role will involve direct interaction with clinical trial staff and review of current data collection tools to ascertain what these systems need to contain, the security required and ease of use and access.
The implementation of one of these systems will contribute to reduced risk of data loss by having all data stored electronically and allow greater consistency across our multiple pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials. Consequently, this will have a meaningful impact on the day-to-day quality and management of our clinical trial team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical clinical trial data management setting, developing skills in data collection, analysis and reporting resulting in a significant impact on the quality of our services.
