Policy Modernisation Intern

Role Title: Policy Modernisation Intern

Organisation: Cystic Fibrosis WA

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Nedlands (QEII Medical Campus)

Role Description

Our current policies and procecures are mixed together. The role will involve separating out procedures from policies in the first instance. With our existing policies, the role will involve reviewing these policies (recommending those which are unnecessary), consolidating where one simplified policy can cover several existing; and updating / contemporising to meet current and relevant best practices and/or legislation. Consultation with key staff members across several departments (fundraising, services, IT) will be required for input on relevant policies to that department with possible engagemement with external stakeholders for best practice policies in a similar NFP domain (ie an internet search or direct contact with similar NFP organisations on their relevant policies).
The role will also involve classifying policies into relevant groups (i.e. HR, Operational). Should time allow, we would additionally like to have our procedures simplifed in a similar manner.
