Role Title: Written content creator Intern
Organisation: ConnectGroups
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Written content creator Intern (written articles of previous grants for peer support groups):
We are looking for an intern to create marketing material (story books) for our not-for-profit organisation. This may include the intern contacting past grant recipients and requesting both photos and background of their funded grants. Once the information is sourced, we require engaging and varied stories to be written. These stories would then be published and used for marketing collateral and promotion of our grants programs. This project will require someone with extremely strong written and verbal skills as we are wanting approximately 30 stories to be written. The intern must be able to work autonomously and display initiative. Ideally, experience with graphic design (Canva etc) will be beneficial as the intern may be required to create professional layouts ahead of printing. Up to date language and terminology of marginalised groups within our community is essential as we work with multiple peer support groups across WA.
Since 1983, ConnectGroups has provided practical assistance to both new and established groups to support their effective management and role in the community. ConnectGroups promotes the philosophy and practice of peer support throughout Western Australia. Fostering empowerment among Support Groups allows people dealing with stressful life problems and situations to share their experiences and to offer emotional and practical support to one another.
