Role Description

Phoenix is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialist counselling and psychoeducational programs for adults who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and Phoenix also has professional development and prevention services that provides training for human service, criminal justice, health, and other allied professionals. Our office is located at City West Lotteries House, and our counselling service is open Tuesday to Thursday. The role of "Marketing and Communications Intern" would assist the Phoenix team with the marketing of and planning for events associated with our 40th Year celebrations. This primarily includes a national conference to be held on Wednesday 30 October with internationally recognised speakers.

We provide therapeutic services to people who have experienced intra-familial and/or extra-familial childhood sexual abuse and to those impacted by a disclosure. Phoenix advocates for increased understanding of childhood trauma and the impact of child sexual abuse on individuals, families and the whole community and the benefits of early intervention and prevention.
