Role Title: Legal Intern

Organisation: Welfare Rights & Advocacy Service WA (WRASWA)

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Location: East Perth

Role Description

We are seeking a legal intern to assist us with a range of activities to contribute towards the work we undertake. A primary focus will be on creating and updating our community legal education resources. These resources are used on our social media platforms as well as in person community legal education activities. Work will range across; social media scheduling, social media content creation and management, formatting and styling legal fact sheets and formatting and styling PowerPoint presentations.
The intern will also assist with legal research and drafting under direct supervision of solicitors. Involvement with case work will assist the intern to develop a deeper understanding of the work we do and importantly the people we assist. Experience in Canva and video editing is a must. The applicant must have excellent communication skills to fulfil this role.
