Role Description

The North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) Climate and Sustainability Program (CSP) is seeking a McCusker intern to support the implementation, delivery and monitoring of the inaugural Climate and Sustainability Strategy 2025-2027. Launched in December 2024 the strategy provides a guiding framework to deliver a reduction in environmental impact and to prepare for the risks and impacts of climate change.
There are multiple opportunities for a self-directed intern to operate under broad direction to progress the strategy intent. For example: * Review and refresh our sustainability leaders network to increase staff awareness and engagement * Refine a register of organisational climate and sustainability initiatives to measure impact and identify opportunities for scaling up * Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of existing practices * Develop education resources and communication materials to increase organisational awareness of circular economy principles and application * Evaluate pilot projects
