People & Culture/Human Resources/Org Psych Intern

Role Title: People & Culture/Human Resources/Org Psych Intern

Organisation: St Bart's

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: East Perth

Role Description

Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will be spear-heading an exciting project to draft and develop a handbook for new employees. The goal of the project is to create a guide for anyone new to the Company, so that they can 'hit the ground running'. As a newbie to the organisation, you will be best positioned to find out what someone new to our organisation doesn’t know, but might want to know, or should know, to reduce downtime when they start and feel like a contributing super star as soon as possible.
If you haven’t done this type of work before, you will be well supported by a small but hard-working team of HR gurus. Sitting among the team, you will get exposure to all facets of Human Resources, from recruitment, to Payroll, to employee relations, to training & development and of course, developing culture! St Bart’s is a Western Australian not-for-profit, standing by the side of vulnerable Western Australians experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, mental health challenges, trauma and hardship. We provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most. Each year, we stand by the side of more than 500 of Western Australia’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, supporting them on their recovery journeys and empowering them to achieve their goals. We value our people – employees, volunteers, partners and stakeholders – and appreciate the meaningful contributions they make.
