Role Description

The Business Performance Improvement Intern will assist in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre. The intern will review existing business plans, analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable recommendations to improve overall business performance. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in business analysis, strategic planning, and operational improvement within a dynamic community-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities: Business Plan Review o Analyse the current Recreation Centres Business Plans and strategies to identify areas for enhancement. o Evaluate alignment with the Centres goals and community expectations. KPI Analysis o Review and assess existing KPIs for relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness. o Identify trends and patterns in operational data to pinpoint improvement opportunities. Performance Benchmarking o Research industry standards and best practices to compare MARC’s performance metrics. o Propose new or revised KPIs to better measure success. Stakeholder Collaboration o Engage with staff and management to gather insights on operational challenges and opportunities. o Facilitate workshops or discussions to align on priorities and performance goals. Recommendations and Reporting o Develop a comprehensive report summarising findings, recommendations, and actionable steps. o Present insights and suggestions to key stakeholders
