Role Title: Chronobiology Clinical Research Intern

The Chronobiology team at Telethon Kids Institute are leading research into the effects of circadian rhythms on child development. The research focuses on a large multicentre international clinical study called CIRCA DIEM. The CIRCA DIEM study aims to determine whether the exposure of premature babies to day/night cycling of light and noise during their initial hospital stay can improve outcomes for them into early childhood, as babies that are born too early miss out on important signals from their mums' circadian rhythms. The study has recruited over 50% of the total number of babies that are needed and we anticipate that recruitment will be ongoing to the end of 2025. The intern's role will be to help support some of the central research team activities such as data entry into the study database, clinical data monitoring to check the correct entry of data by clinical site staff and helping with the preparation of study documents for governance submissions. All training will be provided.
