Role Description

Join our team as an Emergency Management Intern and support the rollout of an exciting new Virtual Reality (VR) Fire Extinguisher training system. This project aims to enhance staff engagement and preparedness in emergency management and response processes. You will assist in implementing VR-based training to complement our existing fire and emergency procedures, making emergency training more immersive and accessible.
As part of your role, you will also help develop training packages that align with AS 3745 – Planning for Emergencies in Facilities and ensure materials support staff to meet compliance and best practice standards. You will work closely with the Emergency Management Consultant and liaise with Learning and Development, Workplace Health and Safety, and operational teams across aged care sites. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in emergency preparedness, training development, and the use of innovative technology solutions in a real-world environment. This role will require the intern to travel across various aged care facilities between Perth & Mandurah.
