Role Title: Policy and Procedure Intern, Family and Childrens Services

Role Description

The Shire of Mundaring has overarching policies and procedures for all of its directorates. The Family & Childrens Services department requires a subset of these policies and procedures to be developed to meet the unique operational requirements for some of its teams. The intern will work with each of these teams to develop an understanding of their operations requirements and development matching policies and procedures. The intern will be working the two teams - Child and Parent Centre who provide community support to vulnerable families, and supporting at risk children - Parenting Support who provide group and individual training that provides parents with the skills to support their child's development.

Shire of Mundaring has 210.94 FTEs (including 40 fee and grant funded FTEs) throughout several locations: Administration building, operations depot, local libraries, aquatic centres, children's services and tourism sites.
The Shire is governed by a Council of 12 elected members who guide the development of local policies, set service standards and priorities, and monitor the performance of the organisation.
