Role Description

This role will support the Cancer Research and Prevention Division of Cancer Council WA by assisting in audits of local-government-owned assets. Primarily the intern will work with the Alcohol Programs team to collect data about outdoor advertising within specified local government areas. This involves visiting the location and using web-based surveys to capture contextual data and photographs about advertisements located on local government assets such as sporting reserves and bus shelters. These audits may also involve auditing the type and level of shade structures present. In addition to site audits, the intern will assist in analysing and interpreting the data, and creating reports for the local government. This may involve interacting with the Food and Movement Programs and SunSmart teams. The intern may also have the opportunity to be involved in other projects with the Alcohol Programs team.
The role will be based at the Subiaco office (Westgate building) but will involve travelling to sites with other members of the audit team.
