Role Title: Marketing and Communications Intern - Social Enterprise

Organisation: WA Social Enterprise Council

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Fremantle

Role Description

The intern will support our social enterprise members through creating meaningful social media content that gets the word out there about WA's amazing social enterprises. The intern will also maintain our membership database and carry out other online research tasks.
The ideal intern would be interested in community services and purposeful businesses, and would like to work with our small and dynamic peak organisation that supports social enterprises. An interest in running businesses, start up organisations and how to pitch and gather funding for business ideas would be preferred. This role would align well with interns studying Marketing and Communications, Arts and Humanities, Business, Social Work, Policy, Anthropology - and who want to learn more about how the social enterprise ecosystem works in WA. An interest in or skills in Canva, photography, filming, social media posts would be fantastic! Don't worry if you don't know much about social enterprises! (Neither did we!) We will train you in the internship, and provide an open space for you to gain some great skills. We are happy to adapt the internship projects for what skills and interests you have, so the tasks are adaptable.
