Role Title: Comms and Events Intern 3 – Australasian Neurological Conference & Expo

The Neurological Council of WA plays an important leadership role as neurological health peak in facilitating dialogue, prompting action and mobilising resources for brain health.
Working with the Purpose and Partnerships Manager, Events Coordinator and external stakeholders, we are seeking a confident, passionate and multi-talented Intern to help promote and deliver our Australasian Neurological Sector Conference and corresponding marketing, communication, logistics and events activities. Your contribution will be integral to the success of our first international conference scheduled for 1-2 May 2025 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, and play an important part in building multidisciplinary, intersectoral collaboration that improves the health, wellbeing and lives of people impacted by over 600 different neurological conditions.
The Neurological Council seeks assistance from neuroscience, marketing, events and communications interns to help prepare for this hybrid event, as well as drive local, national and international registrations, help deliver sponsorship activations, such as print and digital media promotions and run the conference, expo and poster gallery on event days.
The Neurological Council of WA is the peak body for the Western Australian neurological sector and works in collaboration with research, health and disability professionals and organisations to champion brain health and increase community awareness, understanding and management of neurological conditions. We are also funded by WA Health to deliver Neurocare, our Community Neurological Nursing and Health Navigation Service.
