Role Description

Independent Living Assessment (specifically the Keep Able programme) is undertaking work to support the community aged care sector. We are leading a working party that will explore the complexities of dignity of risk (DoR) when implementing wellness and reablement interventions.
Wellness and reablement are approaches that enhance the independence and wellbeing of older adults. It supports the human rights of older adults by enhancing autonomy, ensuring they can live safely and happily in their chosen community and continue to do the things that are important to them. All people have the right to take risks and this work will explore the complex balance between dignity of risk and duty of care. The intern will assist the team with the following: • Literature review about what dignity of risk is and how it transacts with duty of care • Lit review on why DoR is important and the balance between DoR and "Risky"
