Role Title: CP - Policy and Projects Intern

Organisation: Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS)

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Perth - 140 William Street, Perth

Role Description

The Project Intern would be working within the Policy and Projects team in the Legislation and Policy Directorate of Consumer Protection. This team undertakes project work on behalf of Consumer Protection and also prepares draft responses to Ministerials.
Key tasks may include: - taking minutes at working group meetings; - research related to Consumer Protection legislation including Australian Consumer Law; - preparing draft memos, reports, ministerials, and other written material; - completing project work in accordance with business plans and project briefs; - attend meetings with external consumer protection stakeholders including peak bodies such as the Motor Trade Association as well as internal stakeholders such as community and media engagement. - assisting in the development of PowerPoint presentations;
