Role Title: Environmental Compliance Intern
Organisation: Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS)
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: East Perth
The intern position is within the Native Vegetation team within the Resource and Environmental Compliance Division at the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety. The role will be assisting in helping evaluate the compliance risk of clearing permits. The role will involve using a newly developed risk rating tool to rate the compliance risk of clearing permits across the whole of Western Australia. The project will require the interrogation of databases to gather environmental and compliance information to complete risk ratings. The risk ratings will be used to help inform our compliance activities for the following financial year.
