Role Title: YACtivate youth conference Project Support Intern

Role Description

YACWA is planning a one day, youth-focused conference entitled YACtivate. This is for young people who are part of local government or community services Youth Advisory Groups (YAGs) to come together and meet each other, learn new skills and developing their respective groups. We are hosting this the day after Fairground, WA's large scale youth sector conference in order to maximise the changes of young people's participation from regional areas.
In this role, you will work within YACWA's Advisory Service team who specialise in youth participation. Your role will be general event organising, so may involve reaching out to organisations to seek youth applications, helping planning content and activities for the day, assisting with a youth reference group, helping with promotion and more. The event is in June 2025, so the intern will support the preparation work.
