Organisation: Dress for Success
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: West Perth
Dress for Success Western Australia (DFSWA) is a grassroots charity with a mission to empower women to financial independence. We have a small team of six part-time staff and a broad volunteer base of up to 100 consistent and intermittent volunteers. One of our strategic goals in our five-year Strategic Plan is to become a best practice volunteer inclusion organisation. To do this, we intend to achieve accreditation against the National Standards for Volunteering. This role will:
- outline a Plan for achieving accreditation, including scope, activities, timeframes and responsibilities
- implement a Volunteer Survey in the first half of 2025 to guide the Plan
The intern will be reporting to the CEO, who has significant experience in project management and achieving accreditation, so will have the opportunity to both 'do' and 'learn'.
The intern will be primarily interacting with the Volunteer Manager, the DFSWA team and the volunteer leadership team who oversee all elements of our service delivery.
The intern will also get the opportunity to see our service from the inside, and contribute to any other innovative ideas that are in progress at the time.
