Role Description

The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) organises a biennial conference for the youth and community sector. This is an opportunity for those who work with young people (and some young people themselves) to network, share ideas and learn from innovative projects, programs and research happening in our State and nationally/internationally. The planning for this occurs from January to June 2025, with the event being held in Fremantle on the 12th and 13th June.
In this role, you will help YACWA develop social media posts that encourage people to both submit abstracts, and book to attend the conference. You will work within YACWA style guidelines to make posts, reels or other content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tik Tok to reach different target audiences. You may also be asked to write copy for an electronic newsletter and do other event related tasks. You will work within the Team focused on this event; which covers both Communications, Event Planning and Advocacy.
