Role Title: Policies and Procedures Intern

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Role Description

The role is to support the development of a small but rapidly growing social enterprise which upcycles redundant corporate textiles and provides training and employment for people experiencing disadvantage. To enable Loop to scale its operations, it’s important to define and document its processes for consistency and quality control, efficiency and productivity, knowledge retention, and accountability and clarity.
Working closely with the General Manager the role includes: 1. Identifying processes and procedures • Interviewing key staff • Listing all key processes (eg. sales, training, production) 2. Breaking down each process • Mapping out the steps involved from start to finish • Identifying roles, inputs, outputs, tools, and resources required 3. Using standard documentation • Process flow diagrams: Visual representation of steps and decision points • Step-by-step guides: Written instructions in a clear and logical order • Checklists: Simple lists to ensure all steps are completed
