Role Title: Pro Bono Partnership Intern 1

Seeking an intern with good communication and interpersonal skill to help develop our Pro Bono Partnership Program in 2025. The program involves contacting clients and lawyers with a family violence setting with a view to arrange efficient referral pathways to private solicitors. The role is not limited to this project and the intern may be required to assist in other roles, such as compiling staff resources and research etc.
The Southern Communities Advocacy Legal and Education Service Inc. (SCALES) is a community legal centre and the site of the Murdoch University legal clinic and opened its doors in April 1997. SCALES was established by Murdoch University in partnership with the local community. SCALES runs a Clinical Legal Education unit and an Advanced Clinical Legal Education unit. SCALES provides free legal advice, information and representation to low income people living in the Kwinana and Rockingham areas.
