Role Title: Project Intern Housing Direct Mirrabooka

Organisation: Department of Communities

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: Mirrabooka

Role Description

Housing Direct is the contact centre for the Department of Communities managing calls from Public Housing tenants and the general public.
The Department is reviewing the way water usage in Public Housing properties is monitored and managed, and consideration for the function of that monitoring to be consolidated to a central point. To assess the potential benefits of doing so a “pilot” project will be undertaken. The role of the intern would be to work with Housing Direct management and other areas of Communities to understand how this work could fit into the Housing Direct structure, and then design what this “service” will look like. Significant guidance and support will be provided to the intern by the Manager of Housing Direct.
