Role Title: Research Intern - Office of Disability

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Fremantle
The role will be in the Office of Disability, Intergovernmental Relations team. The WA Government will soon realise it’s response to the Disability Royal Commission, which includes 132 recommendations for WA. The next step will be stakeholder engagement, developing an implementation plan, and policy development for those recommendations requiring new WA policies.
We hope that the intern will be able to support in these next steps, and envision giving them a particular focus on developing WA policies to help inform implementation.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
