Role Title: Project Intern - Work Health and Safety

Organisation: Department of the Premier and Cabinet

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: West Perth

Role Description

The role will be in the Organisational Development (OD) branch assisting with the setup of a database as part of the new risk management system that is being implemented. The student will work primarily with and be supervised by the Senior Work Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant and work in the Work Health and Safety team within the OD Branch. They will also work closely with all OD team members, staff across DPC and attend WHS team meetings.
• Assist in coordinating the development of a database as part of the risk management system. • Inputting data and workflow associated with it. Key outcomes The student will have: • Assisted in the implementation of the incident and hazard management database for the Department. • Engaged with stakeholders to understand needs. • Developed a project plan(s). At the end of the internship, the student will have had exposure to develop the following skills: • Project Management • Risk management • Work, health and safety • Stakeholder engagement
