Role Title: Modern Slavery and Social Impact Support Intern

Organisation: The Perth Mint

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Location: East Perth

Role Description

The Intern will support execution of the following deliverables:
• Conduct supplier mapping analysis to identify procurement categories, jurisdictions and engagement • Assist with the tracking and reporting of social impact metrics, specifically to modern slavery • Apply critical thinking and quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to develop a heat map of modern slavery risks • Coordinate and attend modern slavery working groups • Assist with the preparation of the Corporation’s annual Modern Slavery Statement. Where capacity permits, the Intern will also be asked to support Social Impact and Sustainability work on an ad-hoc basis including (but not limited to) the following: • Support the delivery of the organization’s sustainability strategy; and • Support research and coordination of sustainability-related events In return, the student will receive key learning and development opportunities including: • Compliance & Ethical Sourcing Experience related to modern slavery and corporate social responsibility • Data Analysis & Reporting Development Strengthen critical thinking and analytical skills. • Collaboration & Industry Insights – Engage with professionals in social impact, sustainability, and procurement
