The Centre for Sustainable Development in the Indian Ocean (CSDIO) is addressing the major challenges facing our region, for the future. Through cutting-edge research, policy work, and research translation, CSDIO is leading debates and practice at a regional scale on: responses to human induced-climate change and the energy transition; food and nutritional security; infrastructure-led development; public health, and; heritage futures. CSDIO is providing a platform for UWA experts, with their partners in academia, government, industry, and most importantly, community organisations, to work together towards achieving all of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
