Role Title: Communications and Content Intern
Organisation: Befriend
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Perth
You’ll work to support the creation of content that communicates who we are, what we do, and how people can get involved. This might include writing, editing, scheduling, and reviewing content across a mix of formats – from social media to newsletters, web pages, flyers, posters and more.
You don’t need to know everything – just bring a willingness to learn, play and collaborate. This is ideal for someone studying (or recently graduated in) communications, marketing, journalism, media or a related field, looking for hands-on experience in a purpose-driven organisation.
You might help with:
Drafting social posts and newsletter content
Updating our website (WordPress)
Creating simple designs in Canva
Supporting our email marketing (Mailchimp)
Helping us track and plan content
Promoting community events and offerings
