Role Description

Working with the People & culture team to develop our volunteer strategy, based in our Rivervale office.
The project aims to enhance MSWA's volunteer program through a comprehensive approach. First, the intern will identify the demographics of current volunteers by analysing their backgrounds, motivations, and roles, and conducting interviews with key stakeholders to understand their impact. The intern will assess and refine the onboarding process to ensure it complies with safe work practices, insurance, and legal standards. A review of existing e-learning materials will help tailor suitable onboarding resources for volunteers. Additionally, the intern will develop detailed role briefs to clarify responsibilities and expectations for various volunteer positions. Engaging social media and attraction campaigns will be designed to boost awareness and draw new volunteers. Finally, the intern will create a strategic plan to raise volunteer participation to 10% of the workforce, complete with actionable steps and measurable success metrics.
