Role Title: Project Intern: The Sibling Project: Online data scraping and extraction for analysis

The intern will be working with the Sibling Research Team (Dr Emma Glasson and Dr Kate Dorozenko), within the Child Disability stream of The Kids Research Institute Australia. The Sibling Research Team focuses on children, adolescents and emerging adults who have a sibling with a disability, investigating their mental health, relationships and quality of life. In their role, the intern will assist with a research project which is examining data on Reddit. Using software program VizRefra, the intern will devise methods to scrape data from online and export to Excel and NVivo to present and prepare data for analysis. They will also assist with writing up the Methods of this process. A review and summary of alternative software to perform similar functions will also be required, outlining the pros, cons and outputs of each option.
