Role Title: Grant Preparation Intern
Organisation: Lionheart Camp for Kids
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Malaga
The Grant Writing Intern will be given an opportunity to work alongside the Operations Manager and CEO to understand and practice writing generic responses to common questions asked across a variety of grant applications. The intern:
- Gain an understanding of the types and variety of grants available to not-for-profits
- Will have the opportunity to practice how to respond to questions in grant applications
- Will assist in building a bank of ready-to-go responses to common questions in applications
Our vision is that no child should grieve alone. We know that good bereavement care minimises the long-term adverse consequences for children, such as poorer outcomes in education, employment, physical and mental health. We aim to do this through:
• Helping children and parents understand the process of grief
• Normalising the grief process for children
• Helping children identify with a spectrum of emotions associated with the death of a parent or sibling
• Sharing and expressing emotions in a healthy way
• Providing the opportunity to connect with other children experiencing the death of a sibling or parent
• Strengthening parents’ knowledge and skills in how to support their grieving children
