Role Title: Project Intern, Youth Engagement

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Role Description

The intern will be undertaking the following tasks
1. Attendance at Play Matter Collective (PMC) monthly meetings (Tuesday of each month 5.30pm- 7.30pm in Applecross or Murdoch). Occasional meetings with occur at the Commissioner of Children and Young People's office in the city. 2. Assisting with the Play Matters Collective early childhood education conference to be held at the Boulevard Centre (Town of Cambridge in Floreat). This includes online planning meetings and attendance on Friday 13th September afternoon (help with setting up) and the conference day on Saturday 14th September (all-day support personnel). 3. Involvement in planning and participating in preparations for the one-day event hosted by Educated by Nature and PMC Saturday 31st August 4. Participation in the work of the Play Matters Collective such as contributing ideas related to its website (public outreach) and advocacy for public awareness on the importance of play in people’s lives 5. Assisting with PMC website ideas and communications
