Role Title: Policy and Procedures Intern

The internship with YACWA offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the organisation's commitment to best governance and compliance. The intern will play a pivotal role in reviewing and developing policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect contemporary standards and support robust organisational practices. Working closely with the CEO, the intern will gain hands-on experience in evaluating existing governance frameworks, identifying areas for improvement, and drafting revised policies that align with best practices and in the development of new policies and procedures as indicated by the Board Governance subcommittee.
Through this work, the intern will not only enhance YACWA’s operational resilience and accountability but also gain invaluable insight into high-level decision-making, strategic planning, and not for profit governance. This internship provides a chance to leave a lasting impact while developing a rich skill set in policy development.
The Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) is the peak non-government youth organisation in Western Australia.
