Role Title: Data Intern - Specialist Child protection unit

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

The intern would be placed at the Department of Communities, Specialist Child Protection Unit, working alongside the Advocate for Children in Care.
A Data Project to evaluate the Advocate for Children in Care’s new data and create the reporting system scope for Power BI. The data project could have wider value to the SCPU.
The work could include supervised engagement with children in care, Out-of-Home Care providers and wider Communities staff.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
