Health Innovation Landscape Mapping Intern

Role Title: Health Innovation Landscape Mapping Intern

Organisation: East Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Royal Perth Hospital

Role Description

East Metropolitan Health Service is launching an Innovation Hub at the end of 2025, and a key goal of this new service will be to link innovators from within our health service into relevant services that are already available within the WA innovation landscape and establish clear pathways for our stakeholders to identify and access the services they need.
This role will be responsible for the development of a database of services (organisations, training programs, physical resources, or locations, etc) that are accessible for innovators within the WA Health system. This will include research as well as sector exploration (including potential event attendance) to identify the opportunities available, and development of a method to capture and communicate this data – for example, this could include a quick-resource guide as well as an interactive map tool, or similar. This role will also be responsible for identifying the required pathways for our stakeholders to access the benefits proposed by these services (i.e. for training programs: what are the application criteria, etc). This will include collecting key contact details and, in some instances, meeting with the relevant external contacts to ascertain the nature of the service and what opportunities there might be for engagement and / or collaboration with EMHS. This role will sit within the EMHS Innovation team and is expected to have a high degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
